Places to visit in Dallas

Hello Ladies

I would like to know some interesting places to visit in and around Irving/Dallas. Probably like a weekend getaway. I'm totally bored sitting at home. Considering Texas, a very large state, I'm not really open to the idea of driving very long hours. I so hate the fact there's not much to see around :(
