The Great Big Must Read List

Lists, lists, lists everywhere I look. Movie lists, bucket lists... What we need here is a Must Read list. We love our books and we love talking about it. But isn't there greater joy in recommending the book we so loved, to our friends. I mean I can't stop raving about the book I just read. So lets make our list.

Here's how this goes...
  • Pick ten books you have read, that you would recommend to read. You can leave a note saying why you liked that book.
  • You can make any changes to your original list as you wish. Replace one book with another as you keep reading, but just keep the number to ten.
  • You can rate the list as "Your name Top ten Must- Reads", or simply just a list of your recommendations without a rating.

Simple right? So make your list.
I'll start with my list. I am not rating my books, so in no particular order.

PriniSrini Recommends:

  1. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee ( I like this quote from the book, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view..")
  2. At the Mercy of the Winds by David- Hempleman Adams ( a memoir of a remarkable journey to the north pole in a hot air balloon. Read it to understand perseverance but don't read it on a flight, unless you want to risk painful glares from your co passengers.. )
  3. And Then There were none by Agatha Christie ( Of all the books we've read at the club, this was the best).
  4. The Lord of the Flies by Sir William Golding ( loved the subtlety in the book).
  5. A Case of Exploding Mangoes by Mohammed Hanif ( the book is based in our neighbouring country but the satire is so relatable.)

I'll complete the list as I go...Your turn ILites.
