Friends - am stuck with a meaningful response here.
Its been an year I've come to U.S.A on an work assignment and my U.S Mgr often asks me Hows it going...? or Whats going on?... Now, if I've something where I'm stuck or need his opinion/comments, I respond for such qtns by narrating those points and ask his comments.
If I don't have such topic - what do I say? I manage with saying, "Just normal/nothing specific " like that. Just want to confirm, if that's the way to respond or is there any other more professional response for that. Or is he expecting me to talk some more general topics than just work... am confused
Sorry for being such a culture-dumb, but its kind of a difficult situation where I've nothing to speak with him but I've to respond something meaningful
Please pour-in your suggestions.
