Supreme Lord is existing both within and without of everything that exists. Vedanta refers to him the Supreme Brahman, the spirit that lies beyond the cause and effect of the material world. Lord's glories are so unlimited, but we will take up a small fraction of an infinitesimal fragment of His glory - the greatness of the Avatar or incarnation. If a devotee can fully understand and appreciate even one pastime, quality, or instruction of the Lord that will be sufficient for his being delivered from the cycle of birth and death. This is the great potency of Lord especially in the incarnation of Krishna. He is fully, completely manifested even in the slightest, most insignificant portion of His unlimited glories.

In this regard Lord Krishna states in the Bhagavad-gita
4.9|:

janma karma ca me divyam evam yah vetti tattvatah |
tyaktvaa deham punah janma na eti maam eti sah arjuna ||

in prose order -
he arjuna! yah me divyam janma karma ca evam tattvatah vetti,
sah deham tyaktvaa, punah janma na eti, (kintu sah) maam eti |
"One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities, does not upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna."
So let us apply ourselves fully to understanding Krishna's greatness by reading about Him and serving Him with love. Hope this endeavor will qualify us to be the recipients of His special mercy
Then the auspicious hour came. The star Rohini was shining. It was Vijaya Muhurta. The elements were extremely pleasant at the birth of Krishna. Winds were blowing auspiciously. The stars were shining with luster. The lakes were filled with lotuses. Lord Krishna incarnated at mid-night. The gods played divine music. The Kinnaras and Gandharvas sang. Siddhas and Charanas praised. The Vidyadharas celebrated along with Apsaras, celestial sages and Devas.
