Feeling hurted and angry

Hi Guys
Felt like sharing something.
My sil is always involved in cold wars wid me.
After I got married she stayed wid me n hubby for couple of months. My pil had warned me n DH to take care of her n take her wherever we go. I dont remember any movie we saw widout taking her. In short she was wid us in r honeymoon period. N she created lot of troubles by telling rubbish to pil. Inspite of talking care of dat 30 year old lady like r own daughter, my pil yelled on us dat we didn't take her care n we didn't show her any respect.
Den me n DH moved to USA. Den she stopped talking wid me. I used to feel hurted and at the same time angry wid this. I was expecting and during my entire pregnancy she didn't talk wid me. Now when she came applied for f1 , she thought that she may come to stay wid us n so she started talking again.
My DH didn't tell me anything about her plans to come. N when I came to know by reading my DH messages I became very angry n lost trust in him. I never thought he will act like dis wid me.
In dat anger I messaged my sil dat don't come to stay wid us. I guess my anger is justified coz she didn't talk a word wid me, n my DH never told me about these plans. N all of a sudden I came to know dis. N all dis happened 5 weeks after my delivery. I was already in postpartum depression.
DH made her stay outside after a week after she came to USA.
I came to India after my delivery. As soon as I came to India DH got sil back to stay at our place. Now she is staying at our place, using everything in my kitchen but didn't talk a word wid me.
Also my DH motivates her to hang out wid my nearby friends. What is hurting me and also making me angry is dat she stays at my place, hangs out wid my friends, uses our social circle but she doesn't speak a word wid me. I am in India but she can atleast message me n ask how's me n my baby doing.
When I discussed dis wid my DH he doesnt agree wid me n doesn't accept his sisters misbehavior.
He don't understand or rather don't want to understand where m coming from.
such issues wid my sil are affecting my relationship wid DH. He's not ready to listen n he acts neutral. But somehow I get angry on dis kind of behavior of his.
Root cause for all such stuff is my sil. When she was not there everything's worked very smoothly between me n DH.
My DH motivated sil to come to USA n he hided everything from me. He even used to delete their conversations. N used to talk about dis by going out of d house or in my absence. Dis make me feel more insecure. N coz of dis I lost trust n respect for him.
My pil puts my sils marriage pressure on my DH. Somehow he feels dat it's his sis is his responsibility n not of my pil. My pil nicely roam here n there n they have pushed their daughters responsibility on my DH n ultimately on me too.
Sometimes I go mad thinking n thinking abt dat lady n it's also disturbing my married life n relationship wid DH.
I don't say dat my DH is completely non coperative. But at d same time he is very much concerned abt his sis too. He does try to balance. But he also acts very smart which hurts me. He motivates her n uses r social circle. What I feel is sil shud create her own social circle n stay away from r married life n my friends. My DH purposely don't tell me anything abt her n I come to know from others which hurts me.
Suggest me if my anger n hurt are justified n how shud I work out on my relationship wid DH wid all this.

Dear All,
Fortunately we have not had any rain for over a week now. Schools reopened after an unprecedented rain-break of 17 days. But more rains are forecast for another week now. Dark clouds are hovering above the city and there is a rumble as if the Heavens are having a bad stomach. Thanks to water stagnation everywhere, the city is full of bacterial and viral infections. The Doctors are the only guys who are sporting a smile and not without reason. The Internet and Power supply have been playing truant. Will I be able to announce the FP Winners on time this month, I ask myself. ‘You will’, assures my index finger and wistfully looks at the keyboard.

We have 12 nominations this month. We see the oldest member nominating a thread by a member who has just entered the Community. That’s the beauty of this monthly contest! As I look at all the 12 entries, one thought crosses my mind. And that is about the absence of the Lifetime Achievement Award for this nomination certainly deserves something like that! It has been active for close to 16 months now, has received over 3500 FBs and 3000 Likes. People are flocking to it in droves! The intellectual bonding that this thread is generating is something phenomenal. Even reluctant septuagenarians take part in it with youthful gusto! I am sure you know by now what thread I am talking about.

Thank you Rihana for nominating this thread.

You know that I ramble a lot besides taking part in FP activities. I know from experience that it is very tough to write something humorous. You can create all kinds of feelings in your readers but try making them laugh and you are as clueless as a South African batsman against Indian spinners! But this person handles humour like a fish taking to water. When she posts something, people can’t stop laughing like that fellow traveler of Mr.Bean! I refer to our resident humorist nonpareil you know who!

Moving to Bergen County

Hello Ladies,

I have spent a ton of time looking over the internet about Bergen County and am hoping ladies from there will help me out with this post.

My husband is thinking of taking up a job in Tarry Town and we are looking at Bergen County towns to possibly move. In order to keep commute short and have good elementary schools with decent indian presence, we have short-listed the towns to Tenafly, Closter, Cresskill, north Paramus and Hillsdale. Does anyone have kids going to elementary schools in these areas and can share what their experience has been. How strong is the indian presence. My son is in second grade and I would love for him to have atleast a few more indian classmates in his class. Is that an impossible goal.

If you think of any other town that better fits our criteria, I would love to hear it. I sincerely request ladies from this area to chime in.

Thanks

As all the women i also love gold ornaments. But the recent times the chain snatching cases which i have witnessed directly and some in the news channels had developed a strange aversion to wards gold.

Last year I was standing in my balcony and just observing the people moving across the street. It was 4:30 pm . A nearly 40 year lady with a black saree with a heavy haram (haram was shinning with balck background) just passed my house with a pooja thali in her hand. (she might be going to the temple just two streets away) Just she have walked to the end of the street and i turned my head to see some other people around. Then the lady came running , screaming and crying aloud . After that we learnt that two young bikers have snatched the haram and escaped into other street. This was the first incident i witnessed.

Just few weeks back we (family) were waiting at a signal in our car. two people in a bike crossed our car by breaking the single. It was the most rush area in our city . Then a young man came running and chasing the bikers. . They have snatched chain for the man when he is busy with his cell phone. They were never caught. This was the second incident that i have witnessed.

After this two incidents and a warning by a police man in the morning walk that strictly no gold jewellery when moving alone , it became little uncomfortable to me to move out alone with any gold jewellery.

When coming to the news there was an incident of chain snatching infront of the CM's house in new Delhi. The two bikers who were standing at the end of the street told police man that they came to meet the CM when they got the opportunity they snatched the chain in front of the police and just escaped.

A women's death case in Coimbatore who feel out of a bike when two bikers snatched the chain from her neck when they are riding have developed a type of fear and aversion towards gold.

Then what is the use of gold if we can not wear it. gold is now not a choice of investment due to fluctuating rates. Then I gave good news to my husband this Diwali. "No gold Please". For me Life and mental peace are more important than falls prestige .

hello friends,
i got married in march 2009.my husband is very sweet person, loving, caring, understanding in every situation till date.
we live together (not with inlaws).
we don't have kids ,th's the reason my mother in law always stresses me on this point. we once consulted doctor ,my husband have low sperm count but he is not interested in using medicines and consulting doctor again or taking tests .
i said the same to my MIL. but she asks me to do poojas ,i said that i am interested and that does not result in any output.

i rarely speak to her on phone, she always advices me to do poojas ,if i don't call her she talks very badly that i dont have any responsibility towards them ,if i call her she hurts me soo much.she just treat me like a servant for her family ....

my parents house and In-lwas house are in same city .i cant avoid meeting them or speaking with them. but they don't understand my feelings.

i get hurt and i cry sometimes ,my husband understands all this things ,but nothing is happening at the end ,days r passing ....stresss..

i asked to speak reg that with my husband but she keeps silent .
she wants to do shopping buy sarees for her when we visit their place .
once we return back to our place she talks as how she want in phone .

i stopped attending functions...i can't control her mouth ..she talks all nonsense ..starts saying all nasty things about me before everyone ...that she is very unhappy without grand children ....

how to solve this problem.

i feel "making love and being together--for each other , and undertsnaind is the real meaning of happy married life."

my parents and husband understands me .

suggest me how to solve this communication issue.

Top 10 Ways Saas-Bahu TV Serials are Ruining Indian Culture

Indian soap operas,normally called the
saas-bahu sagas, are perhaps one of the most damaging in the world. They are not only regressive but depict a ridiculous version of Indian Culture which harms more than entertains.Television has the capability to influence even those in the remote corners of the country. But instead of doing something progressive, these serials show a regressive India. Let’s have a look at some of the side-effects of these sagas on the culture we call our own.

How to live a happy married life

In business, companies are only as successful as their leaders are. If a company has an ineffective leader, it’s ineffective. Take the example of Continental Airlines. They were considered the worst major airline in the United States at the end of the 1980s. However, in 1994 they hired Gordon Bethune as President, and by the year 2000 they were the best airline in the US (see From Worst to First by Gordon Bethune).
That turnaround happened because of leadership. Likewise families are only as successful as their leaders are. As parents, we lead our families. Now we can’t fire children, but we can make sure that we are functioning well at the top.
A happy marriage doesn’t just arrive because you say, “I do.” Instead, it takes effort from both husband and wife to make it work. Nevertheless, with some work and a lot of understanding, it can be the most rewarding relationship you will ever have. Where do you start? In the vast sea of relationship advice, it can be hard to know what the most important things are. We will share just five things that have mattered the most in our marriage.
